IPL 2023 Final: Ambati Rayudu has announced his retirement from IPL after the final of IPL 2023

After the final of IPL 2023, Ambati Rayudu officially retired from the tournament, marking the end of his remarkable 13-year journey. Throughout his career, Rayudu played for the Mumbai Indians before joining the Chennai Super Kings.

In the Ambati Rayudu IPL Career, He has made appearances in more than 200 games, showcasing his skills and accumulating over 4000 runs, including one century. During his time with the Mumbai Indians, he also took up the role of a part-time wicketkeeper, impressively scoring four fifties in the 2011 season. However, his most outstanding performance in the tournament came in 2018 when he amassed 602 runs at a remarkable strike rate of nearly 150.

Rayudu took to social media to make the announcement, expressing his sentiments through a tweet. He wrote, “Two great teams, MI and CSK. A journey of 204 matches, spanning 14 seasons, with 11 playoffs, 8 finals, and 5 trophies. Hopefully, the 6th is tonight. It has been an incredible journey. I have decided that tonight’s final will be my last game in the IPL. I have truly enjoyed playing in this prestigious tournament. Thank you all. No turning back now.”

In 2022, Rayudu initially announced his retirement through a tweet after the season. However, following discussions with the CSK team management, he decided to retract his retirement announcement and deleted the tweet.
