It was reported in July 2015 that CSK would be suspended for a couple of years in connection with the betting and spot-fixing scandals that rocked the IPL.

It was announced on Thursday that legendary wicketkeeper-batsman Virat Kohli has retired from international cricket Before the start of the IPL 2022, MS Dhoni has stepped down as captain.Ravindra Jadeja will replace MS Dhoni as Chennai’s new captain.
