RR vs PBKS: Jos Buttler’s Incredible Catch Against Prabhsimran Singh: The Moment that Defined IPL’s RR vs PBKS Match

During the Rajasthan Royals (RR) versus Punjab Kings (PBKS) Indian Premier League (IPL) clash in Guwahati, England captain Jos Buttler made a stunning catch to dismiss PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh. Singh was in sublime form and had already scored a fifty in his first IPL game. However, Buttler’s sensational effort ended Singh’s innings after he hit one ball aerially.

PBKS had a strong start, scoring 63 runs in the first five overs without losing a wicket. Singh was the standout performer and seemed to be in full beast mode. He was eventually dismissed by Jason Holder after scoring 60 runs off 34 balls. However, PBKS were still looking set to post a solid first-innings total, with Shikhar Dhawan also scoring a half-century.

Unfortunately, Dhawan’s shot injured his non-striker Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who had to walk off the field. Jitesh Sharma replaced Rajapaksa and continued to help PBKS set a target in excess of 200. Both PBKS and RR had won their first match of the season, but this was the first match in the history of the IPL played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
