The result of the decision is that they will add more matches to the tournament, which will entail all of the teams playing each other twice in a round-robin format at the beginning of the league.

In order to prepare for IPL 2023, a mega auction will also be conducted ahead of it, as there are two new teams added to the league.

IPL 2023 Auction Live Update

Every Team Preparation for IPL Mega Auction 2023

Pre-auction is one of the stages of the auction process. During this stage, all team management as well as team owners get together for an intelligence session. 4-5 meetings each week are held where the management team evaluates their team and comes up with a broad framework regarding which class of players to target as the next auction approaches. This may also include participation from the captain of the team.

There has been an increase in the limit on the teams’ purse. The BCCI has raised the limit on every team’s purse from Rs 85 crore to Rs 90 crore. Due to the introduction of two new teams in the future auctions of the BCCI, a landmark of Rs 100 crore could be reached

IPL 2023 Mega Auction

Among the main reasons why this hype is happening is the 2023 mega auction for the IPL. In the days leading up to the IPL mega auction in 2023, teams could retain only four players. As a result, other teams can now place bids for the players who are no longer on the roster of the franchise.

New Teams in IPL 2023 Mega Auction – Team

IPL 2023 promoter BCCI has confirmed the addition of two new teams for the upcoming tournament. There will now be a total of 10 teams participating in the IPL 2023 tournament as a result of this move.

It has been confirmed to Cricbuzz by one of the office-bearers of the BCCI that the move is being taken to correct the overall pan-Indian balance of the tournament.

How many players can each team have in the IPL 2023 Mega Auction?

IPL teams always have a large squad size, which they can see in the organization and in the management of the teams. There has been a limit of 25 players that can be owned or purchased by a franchise. 18 players is the minimum number that can be owned. Thus, the teams will now be looking to bid for the best players from the mega auction that will take place during the IPL 2023 season.

IPL 2023 Window and Schedule Change:

Because the two new franchises will be added to the IPL 2023 schedule window, it means that the entire IPL period will be extended. A total of 74 different games are scheduled and it is not possible to conduct all of them in April-May because there are so many. A window of more than two months has been set aside by the board for scheduling the IPL between the months of April and June.
