CSK All IPL Final Match List: Chennai Super Kings is the most consistent franchise in Indian Premier League (IPL) history. They have played 10 finals out of their 14 seasons, underlining their dominance.

Led by the inspirational MS Dhoni, CSK has won five IPL titles in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023. They have also finished runners-up five times in 2008, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2019.

2008 Final vs Rajasthan Royals

CSK reached their first IPL final in 2008 under Sourav Ganguly’s leadership. They defeated Kings XI Punjab in the semifinal by 9 wickets.

In the final, they faced Rajasthan Royals, led by Shane Warne. Rajasthan scored 164/7, with Yusuf Pathan making 56 runs. CSK tried their best but could only score 163/9, losing by three wickets. Pathan was the Man of the Match.

2010 Final vs Mumbai Indians

CSK returned to the final in 2010, now under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. They beat Deccan Chargers in the semifinal by 38 runs.

In the final, Mumbai Indians, led by Sachin Tendulkar, scored 168/5, with Saurabh Tiwary scoring 65 runs. CSK chased the target well, thanks to Murali Vijay and Suresh Raina. They won by 22 runs. Raina was the Player of the Match.

2011 Final vs Royal Challengers Bangalore

CSK played their third final in a row in 2011. They beat RCB in Qualifier 1 by 43 runs to enter the final.

RCB batted first and scored 147/4, with Virat Kohli making 65 runs. CSK chased it easily as Murali Vijay smashed 95 runs, and Michael Hussey made *63. CSK won by six wickets, and Hussey was the Man of the Match.

2012 Final vs Kolkata Knight Riders

CSK finished fourth in the league but made it to the final by beating Mumbai and Delhi in the playoffs.

They played Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the final. KKR scored 190/3, with Manvinder Bisla hitting 89 runs. CSK fought hard but lost by five wickets, as they could only manage 182. Bisla was the Man of the Match.

2013 Final vs Mumbai Indians

CSK finished first in the league and defeated Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 1 by 48 runs.

In the final, MI batted first and scored 192/1, with Kieron Pollard making 60 runs off 32 balls. CSK struggled while chasing and lost as MI bowled well. Pollard was the Man of the Match.

2015 Final vs Mumbai Indians

After serving a two-year ban in 2016-17, CSK returned more determined in IPL 2018 under their captain, ‘Captain Cool’ Dhoni. They secured second place in the league phase with nine victories.

In Qualifier 1, MI limited them to 162/8. CSK suffered a 23-run defeat as archrivals MI claimed their second IPL title. Lendl Simmons was named Man of the Match for his unbeaten 68, which dismantled CSK. Dhoni’s team finished as runners-up once again.

2018 Final vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

After a two-year ban (2016-2017), CSK returned stronger in 2018. They finished first in the league and reached the final.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) scored 178/6, with Kane Williamson playing well. But Shane Watson smashed a brilliant 100 runs, helping CSK win by eight wickets and lift their third IPL trophy.

2019 Final vs Mumbai Indians

CSK reached another final in 2019, this time against Mumbai Indians.

MI batted first and scored 149/8, with Jasprit Bumrah bowling well (2/14). CSK’s chase was close, but they fell one run short, scoring 148/7.

2021 Final vs Kolkata Knight Riders

After missing the playoffs in 2020, CSK made a strong comeback in 2021.

In the final against KKR, Faf du Plessis led the way with 86 runs, and CSK posted 192/3. KKR couldn’t chase and managed only 165/9, giving CSK their fourth IPL title.

2023 Final vs Gujarat Titans

In the IPL 2023 final match, MS Dhoni guided his team to their fifth title against IPL newcomers Gujarat Titans.

Gujarat, making their IPL debut, clinched their inaugural IPL season under the leadership of Hardik Pandya. In Qualifier 1 against Rajasthan Royals, CSK secured a 5-wicket victory to advance to their 10th IPL final.

In a rain-affected final held in Ahmedabad against GT, CSK successfully defended a challenging revised target in a thrilling match, thus joining Mumbai Indians as joint-record holders with five IPL titles.
