India scored a mammoth 413/5 against Bermuda in their 2007 World Cup match.This was the first time a team had crossed 400 runs in an ODI innings.Virender Sehwag’s blistering 114 off 87 balls and Sourav Ganguly’s 89 laid the foundation with a 202-run second wicket stand.

Yuvraj Singh smashed 83 off 46 balls, while Sachin Tendulkar scored a rapid 57 not out off 26 deliveries. India’s 413/5 was the highest World Cup total at that time. In reply, Bermuda were bowled out for 156 as India won by 257 runs.

#2. India vs Netherlands in 2023 Cricket World Cup – (410/4)

In the 2023 World Cup match held in Bengaluru, India scored a massive 410/4 in their 50 overs against the Netherlands. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul both scored centuries, with Iyer being named Player of the Match.

The Netherlands, in response, managed 250 runs, leading to India’s victory by 160 runs. This match also set the record for the highest match aggregate (660 runs) involving India and the Netherlands in ODIs.

#4. India vs Sri Lanka in 1999 Cricket World Cup – (373/6)

In the 1999 ODI World Cup match against Sri Lanka, India posted their fourth highest total. This match, held at Taunton, saw Sri Lanka winning the toss and choosing to field.

India faced an early setback, losing their first wicket in the opening over. However, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid formed a formidable partnership for the second wicket, amassing 318 runs, one of the highest stands in World Cup history.

Sourav Ganguly scored a personal best of 183 runs from 158 balls, hitting 17 fours and seven sixes. Rahul Dravid also shone with 145 runs off 129 balls, including 17 fours and one six. Their efforts led India to a commanding total of 373/6.

Chasing this target, Sri Lanka struggled and were bowled out for 216 runs in 42.3 overs, resulting in India’s victory by 157 runs.

India scored their fifth highest World Cup total of 370/4 against Bangladesh in the 2011 World Cup opener in Mirpur. Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl first.Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar started strong with a 69-run partnership, with Tendulkar scoring 28 runs.

Sehwag then partnered with Gautam Gambhir for an 83-run stand, with Gambhir contributing 39 runs. The highlight was Sehwag’s 175 off 140 balls, featuring 14 fours and five sixes.
