How many matches will be played in IPL 2025?

Each team will play twice against the other teams in their group and once against most teams from the opposite group. However, they will play one designated opponent from the other group twice.

The top four teams at the end of the league stage will qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs. The top two teams will face off in Qualifier 1 on May 20 in Hyderabad, with the winner advancing directly to the IPL 2025 Final in Kolkata on May 25.

Meanwhile, the third and fourth-placed teams will play in the Eliminator, and the winner will face the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 to determine the second finalist.
