The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the 26 match officials for the first round of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, set to take place in the United States of America (USA) and the West Indies. This historic event will feature 20 teams competing in 55 matches over 28 days across nine venues, making it the largest ICC T20 World Cup ever.

ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Umpires and Match Officials
The ICC has assembled an experienced group of umpires for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. This elite panel includes Richard Illingworth, the 2023 recipient of the prestigious David Shepherd Trophy for ICC Umpire of the Year.
Additionally, the group features Kumar Dharmasena, Chris Gaffaney, and Paul Reiffel, who officiated the thrilling final of the 2022 edition at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.
Notably, this tournament marks an exciting milestone for Jayaraman Madanagopal, Sam Nogajski, Allahudien Paleker, Rashid Riaz, and Asif Yaqoob, as they will make their debuts in a senior men’s event, showcasing their exceptional umpiring skills on the global stage.
The match referees’ team welcomes the return of Ranjan Madugalle, who oversaw the 2022 Final. Additionally, the panel boasts the format’s most experienced referee, Jeff Crowe, who has officiated in an impressive 175 T20I matches. Joining them is Andrew Pycroft, who is just one match away from reaching the remarkable milestone of 150 T20I appearances.
