IPL 2023 Playoffs Venue
Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium and Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium are shortlisted by the BCCI to host the playoffs of the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Chennai will host Qualifier 1 and the eliminator, while Ahmedabad will host Qualifier 2 and the final of the Tata IPL 2023.
Ahmedabad hosted the playoff matches of IPL 2022, including Qualifier 2 between RR and RCB, and the IPL 2022 Final between GT and RR. Meanwhile, Chennai has been awarded hosting rights for the IPL 2023 playoffs after a gap of three years. The MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai previously hosted IPL playoff matches in 2019, as well as the finals of the IPL in 2011 and 2012.
