Top Highest Price Foreign Players in  IPL Season 15

The 10 teams of IPL going to fill up 73 spots at auction from which 27 are spare for foreign players. In this IPL auction, the overseas star players filed up the list of top highest price foreign players. The previously most expensive overseas player record which was held by Ben Stokes is now broken.

During the IPL 2023 auction in Bengaluru, there are up to eight players from India who are among the 10 most expensive purchases. At this year’s mega auction, 204 players were sold and Rs 551.70 crore was spent over two days. Some of the biggest bids went to the local heroes.

The price tag of INR 11.5 Crores for Liam Livingstone of England ranks among the most expensive overseas players in the IPL 2023 auction. Punjab Kings won the bidding auction against all the remaining teams and were able to secure him for the two-day mega-event.

Liam Livingstone, England’s biggest player at the IPL auction in 2023, is the only overseas player in the top five most expensive buys. Punjab King’s bought him for a reported $11.50 million. Interestingly, Livingstone was picked up by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2023 auction for a sum of Rs 75 lakh.

All-rounder Shardul Thakur finished in the top five, selling to the Delhi Capitals for Rs 10.75 crore.

Meanwhile, the auction this year saw the purchase of three of the most expensive uncapped Indian players in IPL history.

Lucknow Super Giants bought fast bowler Avesh Khan for a whopping sum of Rs 10 crore. He is not far away from making his India debut. He is the most expensive uncapped player ever.

Punjab Kings have bought Shahrukh Khan back from Tamil Nadu for a sum of Rs 9 crore, the big-hitter for Tamil Nadu.

In the meantime, Gujarat Titans paid Rs 9 crore for all-rounder Rahul Tewatia.
