South Africa posted their highest World Cup score in the 2015 edition held in Australia during the 24th match of the tournament in Canberra.

South Africa faced an early setback with the loss of Quinton de Kock (1). However, Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis formed an impressive partnership, adding 247 runs for the second wicket.

Amla scored 159 runs from 128 balls, hitting 16 fours and four sixes. Du Plessis also contributed significantly with 109 runs, including 10 fours and a six.

David Miller (46 off 23) and Rilee Rossouw (61 off 30) added 110 runs for the fifth wicket in just 8.3 overs. This effort took South Africa to a total of 411/4 after 50 overs.

South Africa vs West Indies World Cup 2015 – (408/5)

South Africa recorded their second-highest World Cup score against the West Indies during the 2015 World Cup. This match took place in Sydney, where AB de Villiers played an incredible innings, reaching 150 runs in just 64 balls.South Africa’s top-order batsmen performed well.

Hashim Amla scored 65 runs, and Faf du Plessis added 62 runs from 70 balls with three fours. Rilee Rossouw contributed a quick 61 runs from 39 balls.The game changed significantly when AB de Villiers came to bat. With limited overs remaining, he took control against the bowlers.

He reached a hundred in just 52 balls and then made 150 in record time. His final score was 162 not out from 66 balls, including 17 fours and 8 sixes. South Africa finished their innings with a total of 408/5.In response, the West Indies struggled and were bowled out for 151 runs. As a result, South Africa won the match by a large margin of 257 runs.

South Africa vs West Indies World Cup 2007 – (356/4)

During the 2007 World Cup, South Africa posted their third-highest score in the tournament against the West Indies in the 37th match held at St. George’s.

AB de Villiers played a key role, forming a strong partnership of 170 runs for the second wicket with Jacques Kallis. Kallis scored 81 runs from 86 balls, while De Villiers made an impressive century, scoring 146 runs from 130 balls with 12 fours and five sixes.

Herschelle Gibbs also contributed with an unbeaten 61 runs from 40 balls.Mark Boucher’s quick fifty added more firepower, as he scored 52 runs from 23 balls. This led South Africa to a huge total of 356/4 in their first innings. While the West Indies team made some contributions during the match, they fell short in the end. They managed to score 289/9, resulting in a 67-run victory for South Africa.
