The Record 2016 Season: Four Centuries
The 2016 IPL season remains the greatest individual batting season in the tournament’s history. Kohli scored 973 runs in 16 innings at an average of 81.08, including four centuries and seven fifties. No other batter has scored more than two hundreds in a single IPL season.
His first IPL hundred came on 24 April 2016 against Gujarat Lions in Rajkot. Opening the innings, Kohli struck 100 not out from 63 balls, guiding a comfortable chase and announcing that the season would be special.

The 2019 Century Against Kolkata
After a quiet 2017 and 2018 by his standards, Kohli returned to three figures on 19 April 2019 against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. His 100 from 58 balls powered RCB to 213 for 4.
KKR fought hard in the chase, with Andre Russell and Nitish Rana taking it deep, but RCB held on to win by 10 runs. It was Kohli’s fifth IPL hundred and his first in three years.
Twin Hundreds in 2023
