3. Pat Cummins – 35 Runs off Daniel Sams

Pat Cummins produced one of the most unexpected batting assaults in IPL history during Kolkata Knight Riders’ chase against Mumbai Indians in 2022.

KKR appeared to be under pressure while chasing 162, but Cummins changed the match almost instantly.

He attacked Daniel Sams in the 16th over and helped take 35 runs from it. Cummins personally scored 34, with the extra run coming from a no-ball.

Suresh Raina’s assault on Parvinder Awana came during one of the most famous playoff innings in IPL history.

Chennai Super Kings were chasing 227 against Kings XI Punjab in Qualifier 2 of the 2014 season. Raina attacked from the beginning because CSK needed an extraordinary scoring rate.
