Despite chasing 159, Knight Riders sprung a surprise by bringing Sunil Narine to the arena alongside Chris Lynn. After Lynn scored 14 runs in the first and 14 more in the second, Narine helped himself to 26 in the fourth over.

By the time the Powerplay ended, Narine had reached fifty points, while Lynn had reached 49 points. As a result, the Power Play score of 105 was the highest in the history of the IPL and the entire IPL competition.

It was also a match in which Narine had bragged that he had made his IPL half century in the quickest time ever (off 15 balls).

2.) CSK- 100/2, CSK vs. KXIP-2nd Highest Powerplay score in IPL

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have the second-highest powerplay run average in IPL history, with 100 runs against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the 2014 Qualifier 2. Suresh Raina played a blistering knock of 87 runs off just 25 balls at a staggering strike rate of 348, including 18 sixes. Raina’s knock helped CSK chase down KXIP’s total of 226 runs with ease.

5.) KXIP- 86/1, KXIP vs SRH, IPL 2014 – 5th Highest Powerplay score in IPL

The Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) recorded the fifth-best powerplay score in IPL history, scoring 86/1 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 2014 season. KXIP went on to win the match by six wickets, chasing down SRH’s total of 211 runs with ease.

KXIP’s powerplay score was anchored by Manan Vohra and Wriddhiman Saha, who scored 47 runs and 37 runs, respectively. Vohra and Saha ensured that KXIP got off to a blazing start, despite losing Virender Sehwag early in the chase.
